Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears deliver rugged, tuneful R&B
By John Staton
If you saw the Austin, Texas, garage soul band Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears during either one of their two Wilmington appearances in 2008, you can now say that you saw them when.
Since then, the band has released a critically acclaimed album, "Tell 'Em What Your Name Is!", on Lost Highway Records and been written up in almost every major music publication in the country.
On Tuesday, Black Joe Lewis & The Honeybears will return to town to open up for pedal steel master Robert Randolph and his Family Band at Greenfield Lake Amphitheater.
