Van Morrison: 2008 Summer Tour Dates Announced

The incomparable Van Morrison returns to the U.S. and Canada this Summer for a limited tour in support of his acclaimed Lost Highway release Keep It Simple. Following its US release on April 1, Keep It Simple reached the highest-ever US chart position of any Morrison album by debuting at the #10 spot on The Billboard 200.
After a sold-out Spring tour that included stops in Austin, TX, Boston, Nashville and New York City, Morrison returns to our shores for a series of shows that will feature one of the most distinctive voices in all of music, backed by an incredible ensemble of musicians.
Keep It Simple is Morrison’s first album of new material in two years and features Van at his finest. If anyone is considering going to one of these concerts Well DONT!!! , I cant say Im a great fan, his music is easy listening, but I went with the family from the Northwest and felt decidedly short changed. It probably cost us nearly £400, tickets, accomodation, fuel food etc etc and I really dont care if he is a grumpy old bugger HE could have at least have thanked people for being there, HE could have sung the songs that people know and HE could at least have done an encore. Why oh why do people put up with artists like Van Morrison treating them like crap? because he knows that he can treat them that way and he doesnt actually care. We may as well have brought a CD player with his 'greatest hits' on it and played it as we ate our picnic ( which was lovely by the way Van) Im sure he can now go and buy another gold microphone stand with his initials on it - though I would suggest other letters.
