Frankenreiter Tours in Australia

Touring a world of rips and riffs, board under one arm, guitar in the other, Donavon Frankenreiter heads to the East Coast for a series of intimate shows this summer alongside his major festival appearances.
Joining Donavon is his tour band Craig Barnette (Drums), Charles Brigmond (Keyboards), Matthew Grundy (Bass/Guitar), and Peter Winders (Guitar).
Born and breed in California, the Laguna Beach local lives the fantasy life many dream of, successfully mixing his three loves - family, surf, music.
Donavon introduced himself to Australian audiences in 2003, opening for Jack Johnson’s sold out tour. With arms open, Australia welcomed back the charismatic Donavon in 2004 for a headline tour and his debut release. The highly successful self-titled debut album features long-time friend and fellow surfer Jack Johnson, on a tune of summery optimism, Free.
After an extensive world tour in support of the album, including a further set of sold out Australian dates with Johnson in 2005, 2006 saw Donavon take a leap of faith as he stepped out by himself. The result: his sophomore self-produced album Move By Yourself.
Stylish and confident, inspired by his surrounds, Donavon keeps it simple with gentle laidback songs, his guitar and vocals at the fore.
August of this year, Donavon brought us this third studio album Pass It Around, featuring the track now at radio, “Your Heart”.
Inviting along musically gifted buddies Ben Harper - Pass it Around, G-Love - Sing a Song and non-surfer Grant Lee Phillips - Mansions on the Sand, the album was recorded in the legendary surrounds of Hollywood’s Sunset Sound studios, with Donavon standing in the same hallowed vocal booth as Joplin and Morrison. Pass It Around marks another successful chapter in the life of Donavon Frankenreiter.
